This Champion framed bike originally was put
together
by Don Vesco for Motocrosser Murray Huffman
to get his novice points in 1974. The engine, a 1971
TD2-B was laying around Vesco's shop for a
couple of years after it had powered Don to a
189.529
MPH  250cc Streamliner record in 1972.
The bike was latter sold to a gentleman who trail
rode it in Baja for many years. The owner was
going to replace the Yamaha with a Rotax and somehow
a call to Don lead to a saving of a
milestone racer from the early 70's. Don passed the
bike on to former road racer Mark Seifried
to restore and add to his collection of Yamaha
racers.

I am told by Mark Seifried
that this bike was Murray Huffmans Junior bike put together by
Don Vesco and one of two factory Husky flat trackers.
